The Unity Sunday Weekly is our most popular weekly event!
Join us every Sunday at 12:00 PM for the Unity Sunday Weekly,
a four-round Swiss tournament designed to challenge and inspire chess players of all levels!
Tournament Details:
Sections: Open, U1800 & U1400
Time Control: G/30;+5 (30 minutes + 5-second increment)
Location: 985 W Chandler Heights Ste 2, Chandler, AZ 85248
Entry Fee: $35 (or 1.5 units) by Saturday, $45 (or 2 units) by Sunday
USCF Rated: Current USCF membership required.
USCF rules apply. Notation required for all sections.
Prizes:
Open Section (based on min 20 paid entries):
- 1st: $100
- 2nd: $60
- 3rd: $40
U1800 Section:
- 1st: Chess Trophy
- 2nd: Chess Trophy
- 3rd: Chess Trophy
U1400 Section:
- 1st: Chess Trophy
- 2nd: Chess Trophy
- 3rd: Chess Trophy
- Best U1000: Chess Trophy
Schedule:
- Round 1: 12:00 PM
- Round 2: 1:20 PM
- Round 3: 2:40 PM
- Round 4: 4:00 PM
Note: Unity Chess players may use their units to join the tournament by sending a message in the Telegram group.
Please note that play up is not allowed. To participate in the Open Section, players must have a posted or current rating of 1800 or higher,
and to participate in the U1800 Section, players must have a posted or current rating of 1400 or higher.
