Rising Star Memorial Day Classic Sat, Sun, Mon on May 23rd-25th Location: Mesa DoubleTree by Hilton, 1011 W Holmes Ave, Mesa, AZ 85210 Easy freeway access from Route 60, take the Alma School Rd exit north. Format: Six round Swiss (6SS) 3-day and 2-day schedules are available. Boards, sets, clocks, scoresheets and pens will be provided for all sections. 4 Sections: Premier (1800 and Up), U1800 (1500-1799), U1500 (1200-1499), U1200 (1199 and Under) The official May USCF ratings will be used to determine section eligibility and prizes. Higher unofficial ratings may be used, when applicable if someone has a higher LIVE rating. Playing up: Players’ ratings must be within 100 points or less to play up into the next section. The play up fee is $50 for the Premier section, or $25 for all the other sections.
